Westwing releases third Sustainability Report
Munich, 4th April 2024 — Westwing, Europe’s No. 1 in Beautiful Living e-Commerce, proudly announces the release of its third Sustainability Report for 2023, underscoring its unwavering commitment to sustainability, positive change, and well-being amidst global challenges. Despite transformative events and economic and social challenges, Westwing remains steady in its commitment to enabling customers to ‘Live *Beautiful*’, with sustainability at the core of its brand proposition.

Two years into its Sustainability Strategy 2030, Westwing remains motivated to meet its environmental and social goals. The company’s sustainability strategy focuses on materials, suppliers, and packaging, addressing climate impact, engaging customers, and supporting its people.
In 2023, Westwing achieved a significant milestone by validating its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The company recorded a remarkable 43% decrease in its Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions and incorporated 34% renewable electricity into its operations. Moreover, Westwing assessed 100% of non-EU and 67% of EU Westwing Collection suppliers for social impact, while also extending the scope of its environmental assessments to further suppliers. The company continued to improve the sustainability of its product portfolio resulting in 48% of its online Westwing Collection products labeled with the Westwing WE CARE label and the implementation of new packaging options, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.
