ICONS by Westwing Collection: Ten inspiring tastemakers twisted our ten most iconic products
Munich, 26th January 2023. Westwing is excited to announce the launch of the new ICONS by Westwing Collection, featuring 10 stunning products co-created with 10 international talents. Motsi Mabuse, a dancer and judge of ‘Let’s Dance’, Rianne Meijer, a Dutch content creator with over 1.5 million followers on Instagram and interior stylist Chris Glass are just three of the talented individuals who have contributed their unique perspectives and styles to the collection.
*“Creative collaborations are part of the Westwing DNA. We are so lucky to have partnered up with ten inspiring tastemakers that gave their own twist to ten of our most iconic products,*” says Delia Lachance, Chief Creative Officer at Westwing. The icons have brought their manifold backgrounds and experiences to the table, resulting in a collection that is both diverse and unified. The result is a collection that is fresh, exciting, and full of personality. Each product is unique and shines on its own, but when paired together, they form a cohesive and well-designed collection.
The products, which span various categories including furniture, decor, and accessories, are all unique and shine on their own. Motsi Mabuse, entrepreneur and entertainer, redesigned the Antigua coffee table because she loves the combination of glam and earthy colors which remind her of her African heritage. “I’m honored and excited to be part of Icons by Westwing Collection. I work with Westwing a lot - we do some things online together but there are also things we do in private. So it’s really great to know that Westwing sees me and I see Westwing and we let this relationship grow,” says Motsi.
Digital creator and model Isabell Hartmann gave the Latona vase a new design as it is her favorite vase from her personal vase collection. Her husband, model and digital creator, Felix Hartmann, redesigned the Walter lamp because he believes light is one of the most important things in life. Interior Stylist Chris Glass chose to redesign the Tess chair because it is comfortable, iconic in its own way and a classic piece that fits into a variety of environments. Guglielmo Scilla, digital entrepreneur and creator, recolored the Minna carafe as he loves that it is a kitchen related product and it reminds him of his grandmother and family dinners in the kitchen. Naty Abascal fell in love with the Francesca mirror because she thinks it is tall, thin, beautiful, so elegant and chic. Creative Noor Kleinenberg de Groot colored the Alto pouf because it is simple, effective, stylish and timeless.
Side table Benno was reinterpreted by Jessica Mercedes Kirschner as it has a fun shape and is versatile. Ines de Cominges, content creator and Marketing Manager of Chatelles, loves that the Adea and Linea cushions bring joy and good vibes with their colorfulness, which is exactly what she wanted to achieve in the creation process. Rianne Meijer took over her favorite Sofia sofa because she loves that it is the softest chair she has ever sat on, and she finds it beautiful and bright in color. Rianne says “I have been working with Westwing for a long time already. Fun fact: I have lived in many houses the past couple of years but Westwing was part of all the houses. I really love their styles and the personal connection I have with the collaboration team is also quite unique. When they asked if I wanted to release a co-created piece of furniture in collaboration with the Westwing Collection I immediately said yes!”.
However, when paired together, they form a cohesive and well-designed collection. With a focus on quality, craftsmanship, and sustainability, these products are not only stylish, but they’re built to last. The collection, which includes a mix of both functional and decorative pieces, is sure to bring style and flair to any home. “The Icons by Westwing Collection are fun and playful with a high standard in design. With adding vibrant colors and interesting textures we’ve designed outstanding objects for your home that are true statement pieces,” says Ale Tobler, Creative Director Westwing Collection.
