Today, Sebastian, VP & Creative Director Retail, tells us about his #freedomtogrow story at Westwing:
“I joined over 11 and a half years ago, making me a real dinosaur at #Westwing. I’m proud to have seen the company grow from the first baby steps till becoming the successful public company we are today. My journey at Westwing began as a Merchandising Analyst, and after taking the lead of Merchandising I transitioned into the role Creative Director for DACH. Later on, I became Managing Director of Club DACH, overseeing Creative, Sales, and Buying. Ultimately, I circled back to my core passion as the VP & Creative Director Retail, also being part of the Executive Team.”
Sebastian, why do you love working for Westwing after all these years?
“I love working at Westwing, primarily because it allows me to inspire others in creating a happy and comfortable surrounding or home. The opportunity to build and develop projects from the ground up, witnessing their success and the love they receive from numerous people, has been truly remarkable. Westwing’s constant growth and evolution have provided me with a dynamic environment to navigate, accompanying the company through its various stages. Being part of a company that is never static is a source of great joy for me.”
And how has Westwing helped and encouraged your career growth?
“Westwing creates an environment that automatically makes you feel like you are part of building something: It is never static and the company encourages you to stay curious, to look into new fields and develop new ideas. Our fast pace allows us to realize projects and fastly see results - something I find very encouraging. Our culture is unique: there is a true belief and spirit of being one team - without any politics and with lots of interactions on all hierarchy levels which is such a benefit.”
